God’s Plan For You

God created you and you are special to God. God loves you very much and demonstrated His love for you and the message of that love is known as the gospel. The word gospel means “good news” and it is good news indeed.

God’s plan for you includes existing in a relationship with Him; however, because God is holy and all of us have rebelled against God and His ways for our lives, we are separated from Him.

In Romans 3:23, we see, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

The problem is that if you die and you are separated from God, then you will face eternal judgment for your sins.

Romans 6:23a says, “for the wages of sin is death.”

However, God did not leave you to die in your sins. He demonstrated His love for you in the most awesome way possible; He sent His Son to take your place.

In Romans 5:8, we see how God showed His love for us, “God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

This love that God demonstrated by sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross in your place is known as grace. Grace is God’s free gift to you. This free gift of salvation is available to all people but it is not automatically applied. God is offering you this gift, but it is your responsibility to accept it.

How do you accept God’s gift of salvation?

Romans 10:9 tell you, “if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

God desires that all people would be saved, but only those who will repent and believe in Jesus will be. Those who accept God’s love and grace through faith in Jesus Christ will be forgiven of their sins and experience everlasting life with God. When we believe in Jesus, we are brought into relationship with God and that relationship will never end. God promises that He will always be with you no matter what happens in your life.

Are you in need of Jesus or someone to talk with about this important decision in your life?
