Youth Ministry Philosophy
The goal of student ministry, like all ministries at First Baptist, is to make disciples who will follow Jesus for a lifetime and lead others to do the same. We believe that God has called Christian parents to take primary responsibility for the discipleship of their children. We want to come alongside them and work with them in that process.
Sunday School
Youth Room
Sun. 9:30 – 10:15 a.m.
Sunday school is the primary venue of discipleship for all ages at First Baptist Church. We believe that life-on-life discipleship is the best way of helping each other to grow in our walk with the Lord. We meet in the youth room (basement) at 9:30 every Sunday morning to enjoy fellowship and grow in the Lord together. Our Youth Sunday school teacher is Kim Crawford and we use Lifeway’s Explore the Bible curriculum.
Youth Bible Study
Youth Room
Wed. 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Every Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. we gather in the youth room for an evening of fellowship with the Lord and each other. We enjoy dinner, a brief game, and studying God’s word together.
Love consists in this: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.
